NVIDIA presenta i nuovi 780i e 750i

Nella giornata di ieri, NVIDIA ha presentato ufficialmente i nuovi chipset, nForce 780i e nForce 750i, per piattaforma Intel. Tra le novità introdotte in questa versione, oltre al supporto per i nuovi processori Penryn a 45nm è stato confermato anche il supporto al bus a 1333MHz. Le novità non finiscono qui, infatti il chipset nForce 780i sarà compatibile con la nuova tecnologia Tri-SLI.
I primi produttori a presentare le prime schede madri, equipaggiate con i nuovi chipset, sono EVGA, XFX e MSI.

La scheda presenta un PCB di colore nero e un voluminoso sistema di raffreddamento per northbridge, southbridge e mosfets. La scheda mette a disposizione 3 slot PCI Express @16x per configurazione Tri-SLI, tutti compatibili con il nuovo standard PCI Express 2.0.
